Hi, my name is Anthony Lewis and I live in California. For over 15 years I have been developing my home and personally supervise contractors for many works.
As a child, I helped my parents repair, insulate, build a house. We worked a lot together around our house, so my home improvement experience begins in my childhood.
When I moved into my California home, I started planning improvements. We have a warm climate here, but in winter it is necessary to insulate the attic, so I started with this. For a long time I chose materials for insulating the attic, as well as for insulating the attic staircase. But after I did everything, my house became much more energy efficient.
In the beginning, I had a house in which I could live without repairs and improvements, but in such a house I felt uncomfortable. Therefore, I decided to gradually improve it, working qualitatively all the nuances in the choice of materials for the house.
In addition to insulation, I learned how to paint the facade, repair the roof, change the electrics and choose good light, lay laminate flooring, fix sewers and change all communications. For 15 years, I have accumulated vast experience in repairing my own home, which I would like to share with you in my articles on this site.
I made myself a great home, which I like and live in it with great joy. Friends often ask me to help them in choosing different materials for home repair and improvement, and of course I help them.
But, I believe that it is not fair to help only myself and my friends, and therefore I decided to create this site and share my experience with my users. I don’t publish articles often, but in each article I try to describe all the nuances and details of how to repair a house, how to choose the right tool, or how to properly insulate a house.
